Sayonic is a small pill at the edge of your screen. Dock it on the left, the right or the bottom, and tap it when you want to talk.
It follows your Mac's light or dark look, or you can pick one.

Apps and tabs
Your apps and tabs, on request.
Open an app or switch to it, press Return, change the volume, open Mission Control or lock the screen.
In Chrome and Safari it finds the tab you mean, and plays, pauses or mutes what's playing. It can also type text into the field you're in.
Write instead
Rather not speak? Type it.
In a quiet room, tap the pencil on the pill and type your request instead.
Files
Finds the file you mean.
It searches with Spotlight, by name and by the words inside your documents, newest first. That includes iCloud Drive and any folders you add.
It opens what it finds, but never apps, scripts or installers. Only file names go to the brain answering you; the contents stay on your Mac.
Notes and Calendar
Notes and events, said once.
Dictate a note and it lands in Apple Notes. Mention a meeting and it's added to Calendar.
Sayonic adds the events you ask for. It never reads your calendar.
Conversation
Or just talk it through.
Conversation mode is a spoken back-and-forth, with answers read aloud.
It ends after 15 seconds of silence, or when you say goodbye.
Careful by default
It asks before it guesses.
When a step isn't clear, Sayonic asks. Add to a task while it runs and your newest words win, or stop it from the pill. Unfinished tasks can be picked up later.
Agent brains ask before acting: Allow, Always allow, or Deny.
Brains
Choose the brain behind it.
Pick the model that answers you from the pill's menu, and change it whenever you like.
Built in
OpenAI for voice and reasoning, with Jev for fast intent detection. Uses your own keys.

No tracking
The app has no analytics and no ads. Its log file stays on your Mac.
Only while you ask
Your voice and a short summary of the screen go to the brain you chose, to answer you. A screenshot of the front window is sent only to agent and API brains, and only with your permission.
No recordings kept
Audio isn't saved. Unfinished tasks are kept encrypted on your Mac for up to 7 days, without audio or screenshots.

API keys are kept in your Mac's Keychain, on this Mac only.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do I need my own API keys?
Yes. Voice runs through OpenAI, so Sayonic needs your OpenAI API key, and the built-in brain also uses a Jev key. You add them in Settings → API Keys and pay those services directly. Agent apps such as Claude Code or Codex use their own sign-in. The $4.99 subscription is for Sayonic itself.
Which languages does it understand?
English, and Urdu or Hindi mixed with English, even within one sentence. It replies in English or Roman Urdu; choose in Settings, or leave it on Automatic.
How much does it cost?
$4.99 a month, paid through PayPal. You get a licence key that works on up to 3 of your Macs.
How do I cancel?
Cancel your subscription in PayPal at any time. Sayonic keeps working until the end of the time you've paid for.
How many Macs can I use it on?
One subscription works on up to 3 Macs. To move it to another Mac, deactivate it in Settings on the old one.
Does it work offline?
No. Voice and the brains need the internet. Your licence keeps working for 7 days without a connection, so a trip offline won't lock you out.
Does it work on Intel Macs?
Yes. Sayonic runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Why does it need so many permissions?
It needs the microphone to hear you, Accessibility to click and type, Screen Recording to see the front window, and Automation to work with apps like Chrome, Safari and Notes. Calendar, Files and Folders, and Full Disk Access are only for the features that use them.
